RESPONSIBILITIES
Here, you will have a rewarding and varied job. We value giving you a good start with us, so we adapt the introduction based on your experience and needs, and you will always have an experienced colleague to turn to. Our goal is for you to be able to work independently with your own specialist clinic while collaborating with the rest of the team.
Patients coming to our diabetes clinic primarily have type 1 diabetes or difficult-to-control type 2 diabetes. The work is very varied, and you meet patients with different needs; most use technical aids. We also run a unique and well-functioning specialist maternity care, where we, as a team together with midwives and doctors, regularly meet our pregnant diabetic patients. We also have a close and good collaboration with our nearby multidisciplinary foot clinic as well as the emergency clinic.
As a diabetes nurse, you also work with telephone advice through 1177, patient education in self-care of treatment, and consultancy work. We also see that you are involved in various diabetes networks and contribute to development work here. It is important to us that you feel you are developing in your work, and we offer continuous competence development. The position also includes internal training, such as pump courses.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who apply are a licensed nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. You also have further education or ongoing education within diabetes care, at least 15 higher education credits. Experience with type 1 and/or type 2 diabetes is meritorious.
We welcome you, who together with us, want to influence and develop both your own way of working and the operations as a whole. You thrive working patient-centered, are unpretentious, have an easy time collaborating, and enjoy working in teams where everyone is equally important. Other qualities we value are that you are flexible and have the ability to work with varied tasks. Additionally, that you are responsible and responsive towards both patients and colleagues.
