We are strengthening our Nordic development team

Are you an experienced chemist with deep expertise in PFAS and a strong drive to develop analytical operations in a Nordic environment?

We are now looking for a PFAS analysis specialist for a key role responsible for method development, quality assurance, and technical development within the PFAS field.

This is a strategically important role for our continued investment in PFAS, offering you the opportunity to combine specialist knowledge with development work in an operation with high quality requirements, an advanced laboratory environment, and a strong customer focus.

About the role

As a Development Chemist within PFAS, you will become a key technical person in our regional development team. The role involves close collaboration with laboratories in the Nordics and significant responsibility for developing and strengthening our PFAS operations. The role combines strategic development work with practical laboratory work, including instrument operation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.

The role entails significant autonomy and good opportunities to influence method selection, technical direction, and working methods within the PFAS area.

Your responsibilities will include, among other things:

  • developing, optimizing, and implementing robust PFAS methods with a focus on advanced applications within LC-MS/MS
  • efficiency improvements in analytical flows and production processes through automation and improved control systems
  • driving technical improvement projects between laboratories in the Nordics and ensuring harmonized working methods
  • identifying and implementing global best practices within PFAS

You will primarily lead method development, validation, and verification of methods for PFAS analysis using LC-MS/MS technology at our laboratory in Danderyd. The role also includes creating instructions, training colleagues, and contributing to competence development within the operation.

Furthermore, you will provide support to local PFAS coordinators and other personnel involved in PFAS analysis, as well as some technical advisory and consultation services to customers, both internally and externally.

We are an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory and offer our customers short delivery times. This means that the work needs to be performed efficiently, structured, and with high quality.

The role also includes responsibility for working according to current HSE, safety, and environmental requirements, as well as contributing to safe and sustainable laboratory work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic education, equivalent to a Master's level, in analytical chemistry, with several years of experience in PFAS analysis.

You have:

  • documented experience in PFAS analysis with LC-MS/MS
  • experience in method validation according to ISO 17025
  • experience in technical improvements and process efficiency as well as project management
  • strong analytical skills and problem-solving competence

To thrive in this role, you should be analytical, structured, and quality-conscious, with the ability to independently drive method development work from idea to implementation. The role also involves travel within the Nordics, which requires that you thrive in a regional and collaborative environment.

It is important that you are proficient in Swedish and English, both written and spoken, and have experience in advisory roles.

Working hours

Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, scheduled during daytime (Monday - Friday).
