Accounting Specialist for Leading Bank in Solna

SJR is currently recruiting an Accounting Specialist for a leading bank with offices in Arenastaden, Solna. This is a long-term consultancy assignment starting on September 1st, initially for 12 months with the possibility of extension. The role operates on a hybrid basis, requiring you to work on-site at the client's office at least three days a week.

About the Role

You will become an integral part of the CFO function, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including group functions and colleagues in various countries. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a broad role where you can combine accounting, reporting, and tax issues in a complex and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and report monthly VAT returns.
• Review and approve employer contributions and preliminary taxes.
• Prepare and submit the company's income tax returns.
• Prepare and file annual financial statements.
• Calculate foreign tax credits, group relief, and dividends.
• Collaborate with group functions to ensure correct tax handling in reporting.
• Act as the contact person for external auditors and provide documentation during audits.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic degree in, for example, accounting, finance, economics, or tax, and at least five years of relevant professional experience. You have a solid understanding of closing processes and the preparation of annual financial statements, as well as good knowledge of Swedish tax regulations, including corporate tax and indirect taxes. Experience from the financial sector, preferably asset management, is advantageous. You are accustomed to working in an international environment and have a good understanding of how accounting interacts with taxation. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English.
