Business Automation Engineer / IT Manager Nordics
APOFARM ABSkåne län, Malmö
Previous experience is desired
Do you want to build smart IT solutions that make healthcare more accessible, efficient, and safe for patients? Apofarm is looking for a practical and driven IT colleague who wants to take a leading role in our Nordic growth journey. The role is based in Sweden with regular presence in Malmö and close collaboration with our IT team in the Netherlands.
About the workplace
Apofarm is part of Nationale Apotheek. Nationale Apotheek is one of the largest digital pharmacies in the Netherlands, and together we work to make medicine deliveries faster, safer, and more accessible for patients in Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, and other European markets.
We combine the simplicity of the digital pharmacy with the personal service that patients expect from their local pharmacy. In Malmö, there is an entrepreneurial pharmacy team with close contact to the operations, and in the Netherlands, there is an established IT team of about eight people. Together, we build systems, automations, and data flows that help the business grow without losing quality, security, or patient focus.
About the role
As a Business Automation Engineer / IT Manager for the Nordics, you will play a central role in developing and improving our IT solutions for Sweden. You will be the link between the operations in Malmö and the IT team in the Netherlands, working closely with colleagues in pharmacy, logistics, customer service, finance, and HR.
This is a role for you who likes to understand practical problems, build solutions that work in everyday life, and take responsibility from idea to functioning system. You don't need to know exactly all the tools we use today. More important is that you are curious, structured, technically confident, and enjoy creating concrete improvements.
Responsibilities
In the role, you will among other things:
- take responsibility for IT solutions and automations for the Nordic operations
- identify bottlenecks in the operations and build solutions that simplify work
- automate administrative and repetitive processes
- develop internal applications that support new and growing business areas
- integrate systems using APIs, webhooks, and low-code tools
- build and further develop data flows for analysis, reporting, and dashboards
- work with RPA, business automation, and process improvement
- ensure that solutions are built with security, privacy, and GDPR in mind
- collaborate with the IT team in the Netherlands regarding architecture, working methods, and best practices
- document solutions clearly so that others can understand, maintain, and further develop them
Examples of tools and technologies in our environment are Make.com, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, Retool, UiPath, and MySQL.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- a practical, solution-oriented, and proactive approach to work
- a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to drive work forward independently
- experience with at least one iPaaS or low-code tool, such as Make, n8n, Zapier, or Power Automate
- experience with APIs, webhooks, and structured data, such as JSON
- basic understanding of cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, AWS, or equivalent
- good ability to translate business needs into functioning technical solutions
- possibility to work in Malmö regularly, approximately one day per week
Merits
It is an advantage if you have experience with any of the following:
- Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, MySQL, Retool, Notion, or Jotform
- RPA platforms, such as UiPath
- scripting in Python or JavaScript
- Git, CI, or other developer toolchains
- Swedish language
- pharmacy, healthcare, or e-health environment
- Swedish central pharmacy systems and how they interact with the Swedish e-health agency
Personal qualities
To thrive in the role, we believe you are unpretentious, curious, and accustomed to moving between technology and operations. You enjoy talking to users, understanding their daily lives, and building solutions that make a real difference. You are confident in taking own initiatives, but collaborate willingly with both local colleagues and international teams.
You are motivated by working in a growing organization where not everything is fully defined from the start. Here, you get to help shape both solutions, working methods, and technical structure.
We offer
With us, you get:
- a role with great responsibility and clear impact on our Nordic growth
- close collaboration with both the operations in Malmö and an experienced IT team in the Netherlands
- the opportunity to build solutions that impact patient service, quality, and efficiency in practice
- flexibility in work and the possibility of hybrid work
- modern work tools and equipment suitable for the role
- possibility for personal development in an international and fast-growing organization
Application
Send your application with a CV and a short description of why you are interested in the role. Selection is ongoing.
