Genesis IT develops the next generation of business and operational systems, iFenix, and is looking for an experienced system developer/programmer. iFenix is a fully cloud-based system where our customers manage cash registers, purchasing, customer and supplier accounting, web and e-commerce, and more via a web browser. The system also includes apps for iPhone/Android as well as customized backend functionality.

Here, you will work with a system that is entirely self-developed from the ground up. We work in an agile process where you, as a developer, are involved from planning to the final result. We have a modern and technically robust environment with our own server room, and our backend is based on self-developed frameworks. This means you will have the opportunity to work close to the architecture and technology choices that are tailored to our needs.

We prefer that you have knowledge and experience working with PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and MySQL. Previous experience with Linux (Debian) is advantageous, especially work with web servers, log analysis, and debugging. You understand system flows, are comfortable debugging technical processes, and take initiative to identify and solve problems.

A summary of our technology platform

We work with PHP/JavaScript/HTML5/MySQL against a frontend framework called EXT JS. The interface to our business system is written in Swedish, and ALL our source code is written with Swedish names for database fields, functions, and variables. Therefore, you must master the Swedish language very well in both speech and writing.

Your qualities

• You are a team player who enjoys challenges and new technology.
• You have a few years of experience in programming/system development.
• You take personal responsibility for your tasks and can independently drive the work forward in dialogue with our internal project managers.

Advantageous

• Experience/knowledge regarding an MVC framework, e.g., EXT JS/Angular/React.
• Previous experience in web/system development targeting business systems.
• In-depth knowledge of databases, especially MySQL.
• Previous experience with Linux.

Employment conditions

• Workplace: Company premises in Luleå
• Full-time, flexible working hours, weekdays between 06:00 - 18:00
• Permanent employment, probation period of 6 months
• Fixed salary with individual salary setting
• Start date according to agreement
