About Furan

Furan is a home-like residence for elderly people with dementia. We offer individually adapted care. There are 32 residents distributed across four wards.

• We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that all staff are trained in dementia and care interaction via Vardaga’s Dementia Academy.

• We apply a need-based preference schedule. This means that as an employee, you have the opportunity to influence your own working hours based on needs and preferences. We create schedules for 10 weeks at a time.

• We collaborate with the company Ung Omsorg. A team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to add value to the lives of our residents.

• You have a team leader who spends most of their time working close to you in the operations. Becoming a team leader can also be a career opportunity for you as a care assistant.

• We work with animals in care and have regular visits from therapy dogs.

• We work constantly to come up with new and exciting activities for our residents. For example, we have introduced VR technology that makes it possible to experience different travels, adventures, or games via VR goggles. As a care assistant, you are extremely important!

Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see every person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you learn a lot about nursing, aging, and how to interact with people.

You are closest to the resident and thus have a key role in the team with the nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation.

Your experience and knowledge

We would like you to be a trained care assistant and have worked a few years in elderly care. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are also meritorious. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you share our values and have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.
