The Assistive Devices Department is responsible for operating assistive device services for people with mobility impairments in the southern part of Stockholm County, as well as county-wide responsibility for individuals in need of consumable assistive devices at home, medical technology equipment for the home, and communication, cognitive, visual, and hearing aids.
We are looking for you who are a District Nurse with extensive experience as a prescriber of our products.
Consumable Assistive Devices at Home (FHH) is one of four assistive device departments within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO) and Region Stockholm. Our area of responsibility and product range includes:
- Nutrition
- Incontinence
- Diabetes
- Dressings and medical supplies
- Compression materials
We distribute our products via our warehouse to approximately 182,000 patients every year.
The work consists of collaborating with your colleagues on our product areas. You will work with assortment, knowledge, education, and procurement. The role involves a high degree of accuracy and independence, where you will develop processes and routines. Patient safety and efficiency are important in this work. You will work as an Assistive Device Consultant within the consultant team, which is jointly responsible for all product areas within FHH. We value good collaboration between product areas to achieve our common goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct prescriber training regarding our products and the prescribing process.
- Work with assortment and regulatory development within the department.
- Together with your colleagues, be responsible for the medical expertise within our product areas.
- Evaluate, update, and administer the product assortment.
- Participate in network groups and lead reference group meetings.
- Provide advice to prescribers.
- Maintain contact with interest groups and user organizations.
- Maintain contact with product suppliers.
- Develop and revise routines and work on quality improvement.
Qualifications:
- Licensed District Nurse with at least 2 years of experience in the role.
- Experience and further education in any of our product areas is meritorious.
- Very good computer skills. Good knowledge of Office (especially Excel) and experience using various IT tools are required.
- Comfortable giving presentations, conducting training, and speaking freely in front of others.
- You must be able to drive issues independently and have good communication skills.
- Very strong analytical skills, where improvement project work is a key part.
- Experience in procurement is meritorious, as it is part of the job.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination according to current directives, conducted by the occupational health service before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement applies to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
