About the Intensive Care Unit

The Intensive Care Unit at Södertälje Hospital is a place where every workday brings new challenges and opportunities to make a difference. Here, you will encounter an exciting and varied work environment where we care for patients from several different specialties: medicine, surgery, orthopedics, urology, women's health, and intermediate care. During on-call hours, we are also responsible for the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), giving you broad and developmental experience.

Your Responsibilities

As an Intensive Care Nurse, you work in close collaboration with a well-composed team consisting of anesthesiologists, physiotherapists, and assistant nurses. Each team is responsible for two patients, providing excellent opportunities for high-quality and close care. Your work is characterized by advanced care, careful assessment, and a constant focus on patient safety.

Your Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare.
• Specialist education in intensive care.

Employment Type

Permanent position. Full-time, with a mix of day, evening, and night shifts, according to the 24/7 agreement.

As a nurse in 24/7 operations, we apply working time agreements with the possibility of a stay-on bonus (in time) and reduced weekly working hours for night work. If you work intensive weekends and more scheduled nights, you also have the opportunity for additional earned time that can be taken as leave, money, or pension savings.
