Therefore, we are looking for an engaged and professional District Nurse for our health center!

Djursholms Husläkarmottagning is a well-functioning health center located a stone's throw from the sea. We are a tightly knit group of doctors, district nurses, nurses, psychologists, podiatrists, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries who together take care of our approximately 10,000 registered patients.

In your role as a District Nurse, you have the opportunity, when operations allow, to influence your own working hours and working situation to some extent. Job Responsibilities

The work involves all typical duties for a District Nurse at a health center, including:

  • Performing medical assessments and care interventions.
  • Supporting and informing patients about health and treatment.
  • Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare staff to ensure high-quality care.
  • Leading, driving, and developing nursing care at the clinic.
  • Participating in quality development.
  • Reception duties.
  • Specialist clinic work.
  • Home care, if needed.
  • Tele Q (telephone triage).

The role requires broad competence and independence.

Competence:

Licensed District Nurse with prescribing rights and eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare.

Experience working in Swedish healthcare is preferred, with experience in primary care being an advantage. Good computer skills and experience with the TakeCare medical record system are advantageous.

Employment Type

Permanent position, 100%. Probationary period may apply. Start date by agreement.

Other Information

To prevent the spread of MRSA, Stockholm County Council (SLSO) requires a health certificate before new employment and regulates the possibilities for healthcare staff to wear piercings.

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be used for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):

  • A register check is applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional licensure. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
