About the role
Here, you will work at the pediatric diabetes and endocrinology clinic within the highly specialized pediatric medical flow at Tema Barn, Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital in Huddinge. As a specialist nurse at the clinic, you will have an independent role with various responsibilities. One of your tasks is to conduct individual patient visits, where you set goals and plan the visit together with the patient to support their self-care. You will also hold educational sessions for children/adolescents and their parents, as well as preschool and school staff, from the onset of the disease onwards.
Another part of your role involves collaborating with representatives from insulin pump companies to initiate insulin pump therapy. You will be responsible for prescribing, planning, and participating in these initiations. Insulin pumps are initiated regularly throughout the year, giving you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the different pumps. Additionally, telephone counseling and participation in the "Always Open" service are part of your responsibilities.
Some weekend duty in inpatient care may occur in this position.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Swedish nursing license.
- At least three years of professional experience.
Merits:
- Specialist education in pediatrics.
- Experience in diabetes care.
- Experience from working in outpatient care.
