Fornbackaskolan is a two-stream primary school (grades 1-6) with approximately 320 students and 80 staff members. We operate as both a regular primary school and an adapted primary school, which includes a department for students with physical disabilities. The school also houses its own special education group and a municipal shared special education group.

Fornbackaskolan is a multicultural school located in the heart of a residential area where most of our students live.

At Fornbackaskolan, we work based on a language- and knowledge-developing approach. The importance of communication and interaction is central here. Teachers use cooperative support structures to encourage students to communicate and use language actively. We also focus on strengthening students' reading skills by systematically training decoding and language comprehension. We actively work to increase students' vocabulary by introducing new words in meaningful contexts and providing opportunities for students to use these words in conversation exercises or their own written texts.

Through an accessible learning environment, we ensure that all students have a positive learning experience and the opportunity to reach their full potential. Classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and tablets. All tablets are equipped with the software available on Skolon, the municipality's shared digital platform.

We participate in the "Trivselprogrammet" (Well-being Program), an initiative for activity and inclusion, where friendly and respectful well-being leaders in grades 3-6 create opportunities for increased activity during recess.

Your Responsibilities

The school nurse plays a key role in the health-promoting and preventive work at the school. As a school nurse, you are part of the school's Student Health Team (EHT), which consists of the principal, deputy principals, special education needs coordinators, special teachers, school psychologists, counselors, and school doctors. Working in the Student Health Team means you have close collegial collaboration within student health services, where each member contributes based on their profession. As a school nurse, your responsibilities include, among other things, conducting health conversations and vaccinations according to the national base program. Additionally, you will perform basic healthcare interventions, consultations, and provide advice and support on medical issues based on the needs of the student and the school. The work involves collaboration with students and guardians, school staff, and external actors such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP) and social services. The municipality's school nurses are part of the EMI network, which offers regular meetings for quality development and support in the work.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who always puts the student first, is attentive, and engaged. You are professional in your interactions and have good organizational skills. You enjoy working with both children and young people as well as guardians, and you do not hesitate to support your colleagues when needed. As a school nurse, you have strong collaboration skills, and your approach is characterized by trust, precision, and clear communication. You are flexible and adaptable when the situation requires it. In addition to collaboration within the school, the role involves working with external actors and authorities. The job requires excellent collaboration skills and leadership qualities.

Requirements:

• You are a licensed nurse with further education in outpatient healthcare, healthcare for children and youth, or the School Nurse Program.
• Good ability to communicate and express yourself clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
