Högelidsskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) located in the eastern part of Mariestad. Adjacent to the school are beautiful green areas and an athletics arena. The secondary school section has a welcoming entrance where you are greeted by the school café, a popular meeting place for both students and staff.
At the school, we actively work to ensure that our young people feel safe, both with themselves and in various groups and configurations.
For the autumn term, we are looking for a teacher for grades 7-9 in Spanish combined with Science and Mathematics (NO). This role is part of our work to ensure students achieve their knowledge goals.
Are you a team player who is engaged and driven by development work? Do you have strong pedagogical skills that inspire joyful learning? Then you might be the person we are looking for!
Job Description
You will work primarily as a teacher in grades 7-9 with Spanish and Science/Mathematics, but also teach grade 6 students in Spanish. You will also serve as a homeroom teacher (mentor) for a class alongside another teacher.
With engagement and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment that stimulates students to joyful learning and personal responsibility. Staying up to date with developments in the pedagogical world is a natural part of the teacher's role.
We work with collegial learning, which means you collaborate with colleagues to develop yourself, your teaching, and the school's pedagogical work. You are part of a work team that enjoys teamwork and is genuinely interested in creating good conditions for learning. If this sounds like you, we look forward to the pleasure of working with you!
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified comprehensive school teacher (grades 7-9) with qualifications in Spanish and Science/Mathematics. You see the value in teamwork and want to contribute to developing the school's operations together with others. You communicate easily and express yourself well in both speech and writing.
Digital tools are used in the pedagogical activities for documentation and development, so your experience with digital tools is important. In your professional role, you are a clear leader, possess personal maturity, and treat students, parents, and colleagues professionally.
Application Process
When applying, we ask for a CV highlighting your previous merits. You may omit the cover letter; instead, you will answer a few selection questions. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and good references.
Recruitment is ongoing, so do not wait with your application!
