About the Position

Mellerud Municipality is seeking a Mother Tongue Teacher for Nordalsskolan and Fagerlidsskolan (Grades F-3). This is a vacation position at 80% that also includes working as a language support teacher in the school and, to some extent, in the after-school center (fritids). Nordalsskolan is a Grades F-6 school located in the town of Mellerud. The school has approximately 270 students, of whom about 90 are enrolled in the after-school center. Fagerlidsskolan is a Grades F-3 school also located in Mellerud. The school has approximately 100 students, of whom about 85 are enrolled in the after-school center.

Responsibilities

The role involves providing language support in Grades F-3 and in the after-school center. It also includes planning, conducting, and following up on mother tongue instruction for Grades 1–3 at both schools.

Qualifications

You must be qualified to teach mother tongue Arabic for Grades 1–3 and have good knowledge of and familiarity with current regulatory documents. Previous experience as a mother tongue teacher is advantageous. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude towards change and who thrives in team settings. You are engaged, responsible, and have strong communication and collaboration skills. You see opportunities rather than obstacles in daily life and are flexible with a good ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

You should have good IT skills and be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Personal suitability will be given significant weight.
