About the role

We are now looking for a mechanic for our Mobile Service Department. In this role, you will work with mechanical repairs and maintenance on ships, both in our modern workshop and out at the customer's site.

The work is varied and includes, among other things:

• Service and repair of pumps, valves, and heat exchangers
• Work with diesel engines and propeller systems
• Troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance of mechanical systems

You work based on work orders and have daily contact with both colleagues and customers, which requires teamwork skills and good communication.

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least 2–3 years of experience in mechanical work, preferably in shipyards or industrial service
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics
• Experience with construction machinery or heavy vehicles is an advantage
• Category B driver's license (manual transmission)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

Qualifications that are a plus:

• Trained boat builder (upper secondary and/or post-secondary apprenticeship)
• Experience with marine systems such as diesel engines, pumps, and valves
• Ship's Officer Class 8 certificate
• Experience working with main engines
• Experience with ship conversions and interior fitting

Technical competence:

• Experience from maintenance of construction machinery or trucks
• Experience with mechanical systems and preferably marine components, such as diesel engines, pumps, and valves
• Electrical equipment and electrical systems
• Welding
• Electrical installation and troubleshooting
• General maintenance and conversion in marine environments
