At the Endocrinology Department of Södersjukhuset in Stockholm, patients with a broad spectrum of endocrine diagnoses are assessed and treated. We have one of the country's largest diabetes clinics. Here, there are excellent opportunities for competence development and research.

Job Description

We are now looking for you who want to combine endocrine outpatient care with inpatient duties. Within our endocrine outpatient clinic, patients with a broad spectrum of endocrine diagnoses and osteoporosis are assessed and treated. Our large diabetes clinic has a close collaboration with specialized maternity care and wound centers. You will alternate between the clinic and inpatient care. Our inpatient ward currently has 12 beds for patients with acute endocrine conditions.

We are a strong team that combines the opportunities of a large hospital with close, personal patient contact. The Endocrinology Department has a strong academic anchoring here, with two professors, a senior lecturer, and clinical doctoral students.

The Endocrinology Department is part of the Internal Medicine Unit, which holds a prominent position in clinical teaching and patient-oriented research at Södersjukhuset. Our local R&D council collaborates closely with Karolinska Institutet at Södersjukhuset to ensure high-quality clinical research. We provide high-quality education for medical students and are ranked as one of Sweden's best training sites in medicine. The position includes supervising medical students. You will participate in on-call duties in Internal Medicine.
