Are you an operational leader who thrives both on the construction site and in customer meetings? Do you want to take full responsibility for projects and personnel in a company known for its family culture, short decision-making paths, and exciting assignments?
Thage Skåne is now looking for a Site Manager for its Construction Service division in Lund. You will step into a role with significant autonomy, joining a team ready to welcome someone who can contribute security, structure, and drive.
What does the Site Manager role entail?
As a Site Manager at Thage Construction Service, you hold operational responsibility for several parallel construction service projects, primarily in the Malmö/Lund region, as well as in nearby municipalities. You are active in the projects, visible as a leader to skilled workers, foremen, and clients, while simultaneously keeping track of economics, planning, and documentation. The role is characterized by an operational daily routine, often with short lead times and sometimes late decisions, so we are looking for you who are flexible and thrive in an environment where conditions can change quickly.
You report to the Area Manager and collaborate closely with colleagues and support functions within HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and HR. Your key tasks include:
- Planning, leading, and following up on construction service projects from start to warranty completion – including project plans, risk analyses, and work preparation
- Responsible for project forecasts and economic follow-up in close dialogue with the Area Manager
- Leading and supporting your employees in their daily work, responsible for salary and development discussions, onboarding, and rehab/absence management
- Responsible for HSE, fire safety, safety rounds, and documentation; permit issuer for hot work and driving permits
- Act as BAS-P (Principal Contractor's Safety Coordinator) when needed and convene coordination and experience-sharing meetings
- Contribute to a positive and secure atmosphere in the team – and serve as a digital support for colleagues
Does this sound like you?
You are a secure and clear leader who enjoys being out in the projects and likes to be visible among employees. You juggle multiple balls without losing control and have the ability to create calm and trust within a team. You communicate directly and respectfully, whether you are speaking with a skilled worker or a client.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Operational and present – you thrive out in the projects and lead by being accessible
- Structured and self-reliant – you keep track of economics and progress in parallel across several projects
- Inspirational and coaching – you have a natural ability and interest in creating inspiration and engagement in those around you
- A clear communicator – you convey requirements and expectations in a way that creates security
- Responsible – you take overall responsibility and escalate the right issues at the right time
We prefer that you have:
Requirements:
- University education or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in project management with economic and personnel responsibility in the construction industry
- Experience with HSE work in production environments
- Good experience in management and leadership
- Approved BAS-P and BAS-U certifications, as well as training in Hot Work
- Good computer literacy and experience with project management systems and Microsoft 365
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
Merits:
- 5–15 years of experience from the construction industry, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership role
- Background from construction service companies, ROT projects, or medium-sized construction firms
- Leadership training and basic knowledge of contract law
Employment and conditions
Location: Based in Lund – projects are located in the Malmö/Lund region
Employment type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week)
Benefits: Company car, wellness allowance, collective agreement
Start date: As soon as possible – according to agreement
