About the Role

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and executing contracts for steel halls. The role covers the entire project lifecycle – from design and procurement to production, delivery, and final documentation.

The Project Manager works in an engineering-driven company without its own unionized employees, which means a strong focus on leading subcontractors, coordination, and quality assurance. In this role, you have overall responsibility for the execution of projects, ensuring the right prerequisites are in place from the start, driving design and procurement, leading production, and monitoring economy, quality, and progress. You are also the main contact for the client and responsible for a smooth delivery and professional project closure.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure a structured project start by taking over projects from sales/costing, reviewing contracts, and defining scope, schedule, budget, and project structure.
• Lead and coordinate design and ensure quality in documentation while driving technical solutions, including handling changes (ÄTA).
• Procure and contract subcontractors and ensure clear boundary definitions and correct commercial terms.
• Lead and coordinate execution on the construction site with responsibility for schedule, quality, working environment, and progress.
• Responsible for ongoing cost control, forecasts, variance management, and handling of ÄTA works.
• Act as the main contact for the client and ensure clear communication regarding status, progress, and any changes.
• Ensure the project is delivered according to contract and drive inspection, remedial actions, and final documentation prior to handover.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with experience driving construction projects from start to finish and who thrives in a role with overall responsibility. You have a good technical understanding and are accustomed to working in projects where you coordinate multiple parties and are responsible for both progress and results.

We would like you to have:

• A few years of experience as a Project Manager in construction or contracting.
• A technical background, for example as a Building Engineer.
• Good knowledge of steel halls or work with frames and building envelopes.
• Experience with ABT06 and work in general contracting.
• Experience in leading and coordinating subcontractors.
• Experience in design management and production planning.
• Good understanding of project cost control.
• Good computer skills, preferably experience with AutoCAD.

You are structured and driven with a clear business focus, while also being solution-oriented and capable of working independently and taking responsibility for your projects from start to finish. You are communicative and have an easy time building trusting relationships with both customers and partners.
