The Urban Development Department is responsible for catering and local maintenance, development, town planning and building permits, parks and green areas, streets, water, and waste. Over 300 employees work here to make Ystad a great municipality to live, work, and thrive in.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks are varied and include ground works for new construction and renovation, such as leveling, stone paving, edging work, excavation, and simple water and sewerage works, as well as other common tasks within construction.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a high school education in construction and civil engineering or equivalent practical experience in construction work and pipe laying. You have at least 5 years of experience in construction work as well as pipe laying and conduit works. You enjoy working both independently and in a team. You should be able to take significant responsibility and drive the work forward independently. Since a significant part of the tasks will involve stone paving, we place great emphasis on experience in this area.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A B-driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.

If you also have the competence and experience with wheel loaders and wheeled excavators, it is an advantage.

If you additionally have training in road work, safe excavation, hot works, and welding plastic pipes, this is also an advantage.
