The Sector for Community Development is responsible, on behalf of the Community Development Board, for the municipality's physical planning and societal development. The sector is organized into three business areas: Planning and Development, Support and Technology, and Building Permits. Job Responsibilities

As a Technical Project Manager, you represent the municipality vis-à-vis the municipal company. You will work with investments, reinvestments, maintenance, and strategic issues regarding streets, parks, and technical infrastructure. The assignment involves ensuring that the municipality's requirements, goals, and steering documents are met in the implementation of projects and services.

About the Role

The role combines project management, strategic work, case preparation, and operational work out in the community. You work with internal and external contacts and meet with citizens. Svalöv is a small municipality where people work together and help each other achieve results.

Examples of Role Content

• As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for initiating, planning, procuring, implementing, and following up on projects within water/sewage (VA), streets, parks, and technology.
• As the client, you are the municipality's formal representative towards the municipal company SKSAB, contractors, consultants, and other external actors, e.g., NSVA and LSR.
• You conduct procurements according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU) and follow up on contracts and tenders.
• You prepare, coordinate, implement, and follow up on investment and maintenance projects operationally and according to budget.
• You work strategically with issues within water/sewage, streets, parks, and technology, prepare cases for the board, and participate in land survey cases.
• Together with the administrator, you are responsible for invoicing and diary registration.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have an engineering degree in streets, water/sewage, construction, landscape, community development, or equivalent.
• Have relevant experience from the technical field and working in municipal operations with internal coordination of planning, operations, development, and other functions, and have a good understanding of municipal processes, the Public Procurement Act (LOU), and contract law (AB/ABT).
• Have experience of project management within construction, streets/parks, or infrastructure.
• Have experience of drawing up and following up budgets, schedules, and quality requirements, and are accustomed to producing preliminary studies, technical specifications, and decision-making materials.

Experience working with sustainability or climate adaptation projects, digitalization, IoT, and smart solutions is considered an advantage.
