We are looking for you who want to be part of our journey towards a better everyday life, a stronger future, and increased quality of life for the residents of Perstorp. With us, you will find a workplace where joy in work, engagement, and development are a natural part of daily life. We believe in thinking new thoughts, working smart, and constantly becoming a little better together.
Perstorp Municipality is located in the heart of northern Scania, right in the dynamic Öresund Region – one of Sweden's most expansive areas. Here, the proximity and security of a small town are combined with access to both nature experiences and larger cities. The municipality has approximately 7,300 inhabitants and around 560 employees who together drive development forward.
We are proud of our strong business life and our focus on public health, sustainability, and quality of life. Here, there are good opportunities to influence, develop, and make a difference every day.
Description
Since January 1, 2019, the municipalities of Bjuv, Klippan, Perstorp, and Åstorp have collaborated through a joint guardianship board. Perstorp is the host municipality and holds both the chairmanship and the guardianship unit, which is responsible for the entire collaboration. The board and the unit handle the statutory tasks assigned to the guardianship authority in the cooperating municipalities.
The board is a law enforcement authority in the first instance, and its main task is to supervise the activities of guardians, good men, and administrators. High demands are placed on the operation being conducted in a legally secure and professional manner. The unit handles approximately 1,000 cases annually.
Our colleague is now going on parental leave, and we are looking for someone who, for approximately 6 months, wants to strengthen our operations and work group within the guardianship unit.
Job Responsibilities
In the role of Guardianship Case Officer, you work independently to investigate incoming cases and make decisions according to the delegation order regarding, for example, temporary guardianships and changes of representatives. As a Guardianship Case Officer, you present cases before the board and represent the guardianship authority before courts and other authorities according to Chapter 12, Section 14 of the Code of Judicial Procedure.
The position includes reviewing financial reports as well as more varied tasks such as case processing, operation-specific projects, and recruitment of representatives.
Qualifications
We want you to have an academic degree (180 ECTS credits) with a focus on economics, law, social work, or another relevant focus combined with experience that the employer finds equivalent.
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
- Guardianship case processing, law enforcement, or other legal application
- Worked in a politically governed organization
- System experience from the operation system Wärna Go
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a colleague who thrives in a job where the pace is often high and where the workday does not always look the same. You need to be able to take responsibility for your tasks, make your own decisions, and drive cases independently without anyone standing by your side.
This is a job where not everything is always finished before the day ends. You will have cases that run over time, reminders that remain pending, and tasks that need to be reprioritized based on what comes into the authority. Structure exists and is necessary, but it must be flexible; the workday is largely determined by the inflow of cases. To thrive, you need to feel secure in having several things going on simultaneously and be able to end the day with some uncertainty without losing control or calm.
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, stress-resistant, and flexible – not because it sounds good in an ad, but because the job actually requires it. In return, you get variety, responsibility, and trust. Your colleagues support you, but you are expected to perform your work independently. We offer introductory training and continuous competence development within legislation and the field.
Since the work involves collaboration both internally and externally, we place high demands on your collaboration and pedagogical skills. You master digital systems and express yourself well in speech and writing.
Since we are a small unit, we value your personal suitability highly.
Other
Candidates who are called for an interview and proceed thereafter will be required to complete a work test. Probationary employment may be applied. If you are called for an interview, we would like you to be able to substantiate your merits with certificates and grades. You must also be able to present a valid driver's license.
To work with us, you must show a valid passport, national ID card, or personal certificate together with an identity document at the employment interview. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland, you also need to bring a work permit.
We apply individual and equal pay depending on experience, competence, and market conditions.
In connection with the recruitment, we have taken a stance on recruitment channels and publication channels, which is why we kindly decline all contact with sellers in this matter.
