The Municipal Executive Board staff is the municipality's central support to the organization. Here, the finance office, personnel office, municipal executive office, as well as the culture and leisure unit are gathered.

The Finance Office is a service body for elected officials, the municipality's administrations, municipal companies, and the public in all matters concerning the municipality's economy.

Description

We are looking for an Economist/Controller for the Finance Office! The Finance Office in Forshaga Municipality consists of a purchasing center and an economic unit. At the economic unit, six economists/controllers and three economic assistants work. Together, we support the municipality's operations and municipal companies with qualified economic competence and contribute to a long-term sustainable economy.

As an economist/controller with us, you will provide economic support to the Child and Education Administration. The assignment consists of providing the operations with qualified economic support regarding, among other things, budgeting, accounting, follow-up, and analysis. In the role, you will have close cooperation with the operations and the other economic functions at the Finance Office.

Responsibilities

As an economist/controller at the Finance Office, your assignment is to:

• Provide qualified economic support to the operations you assist
• Support the operations in the ongoing economic and budget work
• Conduct internal economic training
• Conduct economic reviews in the committees
• Other common economic tasks.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university or college education in economics with a focus on accounting. Experience with the economic system Raindance and work within public operations is meritorious.

To succeed in the role, you are analytical and have the ability to handle complex issues. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your assignments, and drive your work forward independently. You have good cooperation skills and communicate in a clear and pedagogical way. You build trusting relationships and can adapt economic messages to the recipient and situation. We value that you have a holistic perspective, contribute to common goals, and look to the best of the operation. As a person, you are calm and stable even during periods of high tempo and changed conditions. We would like you to have a great interest in economics and economic control within public operations.
