About the role and you

This is a fixed-term position for six months. We are looking for a communicator who thrives working with various types of communication for different target groups.

We believe you are someone who easily builds relationships, takes responsibility, and enjoys working closely with operations to understand and translate technical issues into engaging and easy-to-understand communication.

You should have relevant education for the role and experience in communication work, particularly in digital channels.

The position is located at the Business Support Department at the headquarters in Kristinehamn. As a communicator, you will work in a team consisting of the Communications Manager and three other communicators.

Key responsibilities

An important part of the authority's mission is to increase knowledge about electrical safety for various target groups and create impact through communication. We do this, among other things, via social media, meeting places, the web, and through the search services "Kolla elföretaget" (Check the electric company) and "Koppla säkert" (Connect safely).

You will primarily work with content for the authority's channels, such as the website, social media, publications, and events. The role also includes media contacts and participation in strategic communication work, such as target group analysis, accessibility, messaging, channel selection, and follow-up.

In the role of communicator, you will also:

• Work closely with the authority's technical departments and support the planning and implementation of communication initiatives. This may include topics such as electrical safety regulations, market surveillance, electrical accidents, as well as electrical products and installations.
• Produce, publish, and follow up on communicative content in various formats, channels, and for different target groups. Examples include articles, press releases, and social media posts.
• Participate in internal project groups as a communication support.
• Contribute to the development of the authority's strategic communication.
• Maintain contact with media, suppliers, and other actors with whom the authority collaborates in the field of communication.

Qualifications

To be qualified for the position, you have:

• Post-secondary education in communication, or other education that the authority deems suitable.
• The ability to express yourself simply and clearly in speech and writing, in both Swedish and English.
• At least three years of experience working as a communicator, both strategically and operationally.
• Experience with web publishing in CMS tools.
• Experience creating content in the form of text and images for the web and social media.
• Relevant knowledge of the Office suite as well as image and design programs such as Adobe or Canva.

It is an advantage if you have experience from the public sector, the electrical industry, or work with technical subject matters.
