Are you an engaged and driven economist with a few years of experience in both strategic and operational financial matters? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

The administration is organized into three departments and a support staff.

The Finance Unit is part of the support staff at the Employment and Social Administration and consists of a competent team that, together with the Finance Manager, works to coordinate the administration's financial and operational management and drive development within the financial area. The unit also offers budget and debt counseling. The unit consists of 12 employees.

The Employment and Social Administration provides support to vulnerable children, families, and individuals with mental disabilities. Our more than 600 employees work with addiction care, financial assistance, labor market issues, budget and debt counseling, and family law matters. Our task also includes managing permits and supervision for alcohol and tobacco.

Job Responsibilities

As an economist with us, you will have a varied and developmental assignment where you provide qualified support to operations within the financial area. Your tasks include:

• Budgeting, follow-up, forecasts, and final accounts
• Investigations and analyses of an economic nature
• Participation in development work within the support staff's areas of responsibility
• Collaboration and experience sharing within the team

The workplace is located in the heart of central Karlstad, close to both bus and train connections. We offer various fitness activities and one hour of fitness per week during working hours.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who have a suitable university or college education in economics or other education that the employer considers equivalent
• Experience in working analytically and systematically, preferably within the public sector
• Ability to pedagogically explain economic relationships
• Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
