Support for Children and Families is a department with over 65 employees working on issues concerning children and young people in Piteå Municipality. Here, you will have good opportunities for exchanging experiences and gaining insights into the perspectives of different work groups. The workplace is centrally located along Storgatan in Piteå.

The Foster Care Team consists of two work groups that collaborate closely: the Foster Care Group and the Placement Group. We are currently seeking two Social Secretaries for the Placement Group.

"All children who are permanently placed in foster care have quality-assured care that is based on the best interests of the child."

The Placement Group consists of experienced Social Secretaries who work closely together. We offer support through collegial exchange, supervision, consultation, and teamwork.

Job Responsibilities

As a Social Secretary in the Placement Group, you are responsible for placed children and the processing of their cases.

The role includes:

• investigating, assessing, and analyzing the child's needs
• ensuring that care maintains high quality
• monitoring the situation of placed children through regular conversations
• collaborating with custodians, foster homes, and other actors

We strive to create good relationships and high participation for all parties involved.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a Social Worker (socionom) or have other education that the employer deems equivalent.

We prefer that you have experience in authority exercises and knowledge of BBIC/IBIC/Signs of Safety, as well as experience in motivational and change work.

You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and can adapt your approach based on the individual's conditions.

We are looking for you who are engaged, receptive, and focused on the best interests of the child. You are confident in yourself, can make decisions even in pressured situations, and are willing to stand by them. Your empathy is combined with clarity, precision, and the ability to reflect.

You have a natural focus on collaboration and actively work with internal and external contacts. You also need to have good knowledge of relevant legislation and be up to date in the field.

As a Social Secretary at Support for Children and Families, it is natural that you actively seek and maintain collaboration with other actors, both internally and externally. A B-class driver's license is a requirement.
