About Hedens School

Hedens School is a primary school with approximately 240 students from preschool class up to year 6. The school is located 6 km from central Boden, beautifully situated in Heden next to a small forest that is frequently used by the school. For many years, the school has designed and upgraded the working environment for both students and educators. The focus has been on creating "rooms within rooms," so that the working environment can function as an extra educator for the students, be easy to change, and at the same time increase job satisfaction for both students and educators. The outdoor environment, the spacious schoolyard, is also under constant development. The school has a well-functioning recess activity program with activities for the students.

We want to give our students the courage and competence to meet future opportunities and challenges. We believe that one learns from and with each other, in different situations and environments, and that social interaction is an important piece of the puzzle in learning. WORK ASSIGNMENTS

We are looking for you who want to work as a School Speech Therapist / Special Needs Teacher with us.

As a School Speech Therapist / Special Needs Teacher, you primarily work to create conditions for participation, accessibility, and inclusion for our students. You identify which interventions should be implemented and work preventively to identify and remove obstacles in the students' various learning environments. You collaborate with all staff at the school to keep them updated on developments and measures that may need to be implemented. You work in a team together with Hedens School's special needs teachers and special educators. In close collaboration with the school leadership, the work teams, and the school's student health team, you drive the school's student health work forward. You have an open mind and are always looking for new angles on all the problems you encounter.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for you who have a degree in Special Education or Speech Therapy education with experience working in schools.

Previous experience working as a School Speech Therapist / Special Needs Teacher and teacher in primary school is meritorious.

We want you to be open to varying working methods, collaboration, and school development. Otherwise, you have good pedagogical insights and are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work. Your pedagogical and social skills make it easy for you to connect with people, and you are therefore also good at conveying your knowledge to our students. You are experienced in working with computers as a tool in pedagogical activities.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
