Hi! Are you our new preschool teacher at Fjälldalen Preschool?

Fjälldalen Preschool is a preschool with six departments where nature and the mountain are close at hand, offering you as a pedagogue a unique opportunity to participate in shaping the preschool of the future. The preschool opened in January 2025, and we are now looking for you who want to join a wonderful group of colleagues and build a long-term career at the preschool. At the preschool, we meet our children in their first education and their first steps in lifelong learning, and as a preschool teacher, you are vital.

Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you are part of a work team and are responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the education offered to the children. You collaborate with the work team, and together you offer the children fun and educational teaching and training. As a preschool teacher, you have a special responsibility to lead the goal-oriented processes and in the teaching, be responsible for:

• care, development, and learning forming a whole,
• planning and implementation based on the curriculum and the knowledge and experiences the children have previously acquired,
• spontaneously arising activities and interests, everyday activities, and routines at the preschool becoming part of the teaching, and
• developing pedagogical content and environments that inspire development and learning, challenge and stimulate the children's interest and curiosity, and maintain their attention.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher.

It is important:

• that you are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lpfö18),
• that you are a secure and clear leader, take initiative, are positive, and have faith in children's different competencies. Great importance will be attached to personal qualities and personal suitability.
• that you have knowledge of and use various learning tools,
• that you have trusting relationships with children and guardians and that you have good cooperation skills,
• that you use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work,
• that you use image support and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication),
• that you develop and drive the preschool forward according to the curriculum.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position.
• Within the framework of the National Minority Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

Permanent 100%, probationary period may apply.
