We are now looking for a resource teacher/educator for Fjälldalen Preschool.

Fjälldalen Preschool is a preschool with six departments where nature and the mountain are close by, opened in January 2025. We are now looking for you who want to join a wonderful group of colleagues and work as a resource in a team. In the preschool, we meet our children in their first education and their first steps in lifelong learning, and there you as a resource are important. We are looking for you who are engaged and want to work with children who are in need of special support. Job Responsibilities

The work as a resource means that you will be an additional person in the work team so that the preschool can meet children with special needs. You are part of the work team at the preschool and together you design a secure, stimulating, and developmental education and learning environment for the children where the curriculum (Lpfö18) describes the work and education that the preschool offers the children. Together, the work team designs the education so that children in need of special support receive the support and challenges they need in their development, and that they are stimulated and developed in their play and learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a preschool teacher/educator and who have good experience working with children in need of special support.

It is important:

  • that you are familiar with our guiding document, the Curriculum for the Preschool (Lpfö18),
  • that you are a secure and clear leader, have an easy time taking own initiatives, are positive, and have trust in the children's various competencies,
  • that you have a solution focus, are flexible, and innovative. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and personal suitability.
  • that you value trustful relationships with children and guardians and that you have good cooperation skills,
  • that you use visual support and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) / TAKK (Signs as Alternative Complementary Communication).

Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

Full-time (100%) – fixed-term employment from August 3rd to December 23rd. With the possibility of extension.

Monthly salary – we apply individual salary setting. Please state your salary requirement in your application.
