About the Social Services Administration
The Social Services Administration is responsible for interventions, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act, and must implement interventions regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by an individual-centered approach to meet the needs of the individual. The assignment involves a strong customer focus and a spirit of service.
About Individual and Family Care
At Individual and Family Care, official cases within various parts of social services are processed. We also provide outpatient care for adults, children, and families. We are a workplace with approximately 180 employees, both men and women of varying ages and years in the profession. We strive for a workplace with legally secure case processing for our clients/users and a good work environment for our employees.

Position: Social Secretary responsible for Incorrect Payments (FUT)

Job Responsibilities
Do you want to help ensure legal security and the correct use of welfare resources? Are you meticulous, analytical, and genuinely committed to societal issues? Then this might be the job for you!
As a Social Secretary responsible for Incorrect Payments (FUT), you work independently to receive incoming and established reports, investigate suspected incorrect payments, and handle recoveries. You have knowledge of administrative decision-making and experience in investigative work specifically within financial assistance. In the role, you prepare decision materials for police reports, recoveries, and continued processing. This includes internal and external controls as well as other investigative measures such as visits and home visits. You collect and analyze data from various sources and make decisions on recoveries in accordance with current legislation. You collaborate with internal and external actors, such as other authorities. You inform and communicate with clients during the investigation process. Furthermore, you contribute to learning within the operations and to uniform and legally secure case processing. The job responsibilities include monitoring the external environment and participating in existing regional and national collaboration.
Qualifications
Formal Competencies:
- Post-secondary education with a degree in a relevant field, such as behavioral science, law, or social work.
- Education in jurisprudence, the Social Services Act, the Administrative Procedure Act.
- Experience in administrative decision-making work.
- Experience in working with financial assistance.
- Experience in investigative work.
Personal Competencies:
- You organize and plan your work well, working according to a clear process where you complete what you have started. You set timeframes and meet deadlines.
- You think outside the box and find new solutions to both old and new problems. You often come up with ideas and new approaches to work-related issues and have innovative thinking that can be put into practice and leads to results.
- You have the ability to understand different aspects of a problem and can find ideal solutions in an efficient manner. You solve problems without missing long-term strategies. You see logic and connections in complex information or environments.
- Since you are alone in your tasks, it means you take responsibility for your tasks independently. As support, there are fellow social secretaries, senior social secretaries, and unit managers.
- You are responsible for monitoring your issues and keeping yourself updated with new legislation on your own. You will also be consultative in your questions towards colleagues and management.
