On the outskirts of Lidköping lies Sjölunda School, a completely new school offering places for 350 students in grades F-6.

About the job

Your main task is to challenge students in their learning and support their knowledge development towards set goals, together with colleagues. In addition to planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, you will work with colleagues in work teams to develop the school based on our prioritized development areas.

The position involves teaching grade 6, with groups coming from several schools. Teaching takes place at Sjölunda School.

Who are you?

You are a licensed teacher with the eligibility to teach Home and Consumer Studies in grades 1-6. Your ability to build good, trust-based relationships with students is a prerequisite.

We are looking for someone who is well-acquainted with the purpose, skills, and assessment criteria of the subjects, and is well-versed in the school's view of knowledge and its value-based mission. You have good knowledge and competence in digital and formative learning processes.

You have the ability to motivate and create situations that contribute to meaningful learning and accessible learning environments characterized by inclusion, variation, and participation. You have the ability to see and meet each student individually, base your approach on what works, and provide broad leadership and stimulation in teaching.

You see opportunities in close collaboration with others. Your learning through collegial learning is second nature. You reflect on and analyze your own teaching as a natural part of your practice.

You have a very good ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are communicative and creative. We would like you to be able, willing, and brave enough to think and try new things together with others.

Before offering employment, you as a candidate are required to present an extract from the criminal record for work in any of the following areas: school or preschool, work with children in activities other than school and childcare, work with children according to the LSS Act, work at or in connection with residential homes for youth (HVB), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities.
