Stockholm – our capital city of millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

The Bromma District Administration offers you a workplace where your efforts can truly make a difference and contribute to the public good in a growing district. Here, active employee participation and clear leadership form the foundation for a developing organization.

Welcome to us

The Children and Youth area in Bromma is one of four areas within the Social Services and Leisure Department. The area consists of four units: Intake Unit, Investigation Unit, Foster Care Unit, and Family Support Unit. Together, we are 66 ambitious and engaged employees with close leadership and clear routines and structure. We actively work with quality assurance and achieving the organization's goals. In our work, we are supported by a mentor and two method developers.

The Family Support Unit is led by a unit manager and consists of 11 family therapists. The family therapists are social workers with further education such as Step 1 or psychotherapy. The target group is children, young people, and their families who are in need of interventions with assistance decisions, as well as interventions without decisions, i.e., where parents and/or children over 12 years old apply themselves.

Your role

Family therapy usually takes place on assignment from our intake unit and investigation unit. The assignments have defined change goals and are carried out for a limited time. In addition to family therapy work with children, young people, and their families/networks, the role includes follow-up and documentation of interventions. Mobilizing and hosting network meetings is also an important part of our work. The more acute and intensive family work occurs in periods and is shared by the group. Some evening duty may occur.

The work is mainly conducted in our own child-adapted premises at Gustavslundsvägen 168B in Alvik. Home visits and school visits are also common. In quality evaluation work, we use the quality evaluation method "Samforskning" and a systemic feedback model.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for a family therapist who is a social worker and has further education equivalent to Step 1 in psychotherapy/systemic education. You must have documented experience in family therapy work. We also wish for you to have education in and experience with network work. Training in PYK or Project Support is meritorious.

You will join a creative team that, despite a high pace at times, sees the importance of space for reflection for learning and continued development in daily work. You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues, managers, and cooperation partners and consider this an important part of the assignment. At the same time, we expect you to be able to independently drive and take responsibility for your tasks.

We imagine that you, as our new employee, feel both desire and inspiration to participate in ongoing development work together with families and their networks, as well as in collaboration with partners, such as our colleagues/employers and external operations. The work places high demands on self-awareness and teamwork skills. Great importance will be attached to personal qualities and that you, as a family therapist, are stable and secure in your role.
