Job Description

Do you want to contribute to strengthening a well-known brand in garden machinery and drive growth through long-term customer relationships?

AL-KO Gardentech Sweden is in an expansion phase with several upcoming product launches. We are now looking for an engaged and business-driven Key Account Manager who wants to help further develop our market position.

In this role, you are responsible for developing customer relationships and visiting AL-KO's retail dealers in southern, western, and parts of central Sweden. You will also have overall responsibility for some of our most important central key accounts, with a focus on analysis, assortment development, business acumen, and profitability.

You will become part of a Scandinavian sales team and work closely with the Swedish Sales Manager. The role involves both strategic and operational responsibility, and you report directly to the Managing Director Norden. The position is based at a home office, giving you great flexibility to plan your working days and customer visits. To effectively cover your district, we see that you are residing in Western Sweden.

You are expected to work proactively to drive long-term sales development. Your assignment includes independently developing and strengthening relationships with both existing and new customers, with a special focus on implementing strategic decisions regarding product assortment and campaigns within the DIY segment. Furthermore, you are responsible for analyzing customer needs, working with forecasts and assortment planning, and ensuring optimal product exposure in stores.

We are looking for you who have documented experience in technical B2B sales and are motivated by building strong and long-term business relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen AL-KO's market position.
  • Further develop and manage some of our most important selected central key accounts.
  • Conduct demonstrations and training in stores.
  • Identify and establish relationships with new customers.
  • Implement strategic decisions to DIY chains and e-commerce with a focus on assortment, campaigns, and product launches.
  • Responsible for forecasting customer assortments and campaigns.
  • Analyze customer needs and business potential.
  • Ensure correct product exposure and use of marketing materials in stores.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in B2B sales.
  • Good proficiency in administrative IT systems, especially within Microsoft Office.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with business travel.
  • Valid driver's license (Category B).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sold machinery to DIY, online, or wholesale customers, with good insight into market players.
  • Experience working with and managing central customer agreements.
  • Experience with SAP.
