The HR department belongs to the Municipal Executive Board Administration and consists of a team with three HR staff members, two receptionists, three staff members in the service department, and an HR Manager. Together, we work to create good conditions for our managers and operations, where it should be easy to do the right thing. We are looking for an HR Consultant who wants to contribute to development, quality, and support in our daily HR work.

Job Description

As an HR Consultant with us, you work in a broad HR generalist role with both strategic and operational issues. You will support the municipality's nearly 60 managers in various personnel matters and contribute to ensuring that operations comply with current laws and agreements. The work involves both qualified support and administrative tasks, which is why it is important that you enjoy variety and can switch between different tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support for managers in HR-related issues such as labor law, personnel cases, rehabilitation, salary reviews, and recruitment.
• Your role has a special responsibility for salary audits, salary mapping, personnel key figures, and coordinating work with our salary unit.
• Contribute to the development of internal routines and processes within HR, to some extent also salary.
• Collaboration with our salary unit (handled by another municipality through the salary board) to ensure good service to our managers and employees.
• Purchasing of system support for processes within your area of responsibility.
• Administration of e.g., invoices, pensions, statistics, employment, contracts, and HR-related systems.

You work closely with both operations and colleagues in the HR team and are expected to take own responsibility, contribute to the whole, and work solution-focused.

Qualifications

Requirements

• At least a two-year post-secondary education in HR or equivalent.
• At least a couple of years of experience working as an HR generalist, preferably in an organization where you have worked broadly and included administrative tasks in the role.

Merits

• Degree in HR.
• Interest in and/or experience with labor law, working time issues, salary audits, key figures, and statistics.
• Experience from the public sector, preferably municipality or region.
• Knowledge of collective agreements within the municipal or regional sector (e.g., AB).
