Are you driven by creating value for an organization through communication? Do you want to help develop communication in a government agency tasked with protecting Sweden? We are now looking for an experienced communicator with a focus on internal communication.

This is your assignment

As a communicator at the Swedish Security Service (Säkerhetspolisen), you plan, implement, and develop internal communication that contributes to creating clarity, engagement, and alignment regarding the Security Service's goals, mission, and development.

You function as an advisor and operational support to various parts of the organization. Together with colleagues in communication, you work to strengthen communicative capabilities with executive and leadership communication as well as change communication. You work with all parts of the communication process, from advice, support, and guidance to driving and implementing communication assignments.

You will be part of the editorial work and produce content. You will also contribute to the work with the intranet and support the organization's editors.

The assignment alternates between independent work and teamwork with other colleagues in communication. Together with colleagues, you contribute to developing the agency's internal communication.

Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna, and the work is performed on-site, which means you do not have the opportunity to work remotely. Travel within Sweden may occur.

These are the qualifications we are looking for in you

Requirements:

  • University education in communication or journalism, or other post-secondary education that the employer considers equivalent
  • Several years of experience in strategic and operational work with a focus on internal communication in a government agency or complex organization
  • Experience in change communication and leadership communication
  • Experience in editorial work and producing content for internal channels
  • A confident writer with very good skills in Swedish, as well as good skills in English

The position requires Swedish citizenship.

  • Experience in working to strengthen dialogue, engagement, and culture.
  • Experience in providing communicative support to managers
  • Experience in qualified advice, support, and guidance within the communication field
  • Experience in working with intranets and web writers
  • Experience with publishing tools for intranets or external websites
  • Experience in training in communication
  • Experience in planning and conducting internal meetings and workshops.

Since you have both internal and external contact points in your work, we see that you have a good ability to adapt your communication to different target groups.

You have a strong interest in society and a desire to protect our democracy and contribute to a safer Sweden.

The Security Service places high demands on security and confidentiality; therefore, we assume that you have a high level of security awareness.

Terms of employment

Employment at the Security Service involves placement in a security classification that requires Swedish citizenship. For employment, a passed result in the security investigation with register check is also required, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

This is a permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment entails an obligation to be mobilized for war service.
