Södra Älvsborgs Räddningstjänstförbund (SÄRF) is a municipal association that organizes and is responsible for the fire and rescue services in six municipalities: Bollebygd, Borås, Mark, Svenljunga, Tranemo, and Ulricehamn. We have approximately 500 employees, two full-time stations located in Borås and Skene, and are among the largest fire and rescue associations in the country in terms of Fire and Rescue Personnel on Call (part-time firefighters). The headquarters is located in Borås, the association's training field is at Guttasjön, and there are a total of 24 fire stations located in all municipalities.

The Association Secretariat at Södra Älvsborgs Räddningstjänstförbund is now looking for an engaged and development-oriented HR Officer who wants to contribute to strengthening and developing our HR work. Here you will have a broad and varied role in an operation where collaboration, responsibility, and the human element are at the center. The Association Secretariat is our administrative support function, consisting of business development, communication, HR, finance, administration, and payroll, and is led by the Head of the Association Secretariat.

Your role with us

As an HR Officer, you work closely with the operations, together with our HR Specialist, and serve as an important support to our managers and employees in daily HR work. You will become part of a socially vital organization where no day is like the other, and where you have the opportunity to influence and develop working methods, processes, and culture.

In the role, you will among other things:

  • Provide support and guidance on HR-related issues
  • Work with personnel administration and HR processes
  • Support managers regarding labor law, rehabilitation, and personnel matters
  • Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new employees
  • Handle and follow up on HR-related documentation and statistics
  • Contribute to the development of routines, processes, and working methods within HR

Part of the position may also include work as an Association Secretary for those who, in addition to HR work, have interest and relevant competence.

Who are you?

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

  • Have post-secondary education in HR/personnel science or other education that the employer deems equivalent
  • Have several years of experience in broad HR work
  • Have good knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
  • A B-driver's license is required for the position as we have a large geographical area.

Meritorious:

  • Experience of negotiations with trade union organizations
  • Experience with the personnel system Flex HRM
  • Knowledge of agreements within the fire and rescue sector, including SAP-R
  • Experience from public operations or the municipal sector
  • Work as a board secretary or similar within municipal operations

Conditions

We offer a permanent full-time position with flexible working hours. The workplace is at the fire station in Borås, but work at our other stations may occur. Desired start date August 17 or as agreed. The position may start with a six-month probation period. Prior to all our new hires, testing for alcohol and drugs is conducted.
