About the IT Office
The IT Office is a service organization within Sandviken Municipality responsible for managing, developing, and maintaining the municipal group's IT platforms for data and telephony, with a focus on secure and sustainable solutions for operations. We are located at Sandbacka Park in modern and pleasant premises designed to promote collaboration, creativity, and a sustainable working life.

Responsibilities
The position is located within the IT Support and Business Support unit, where we work together to create a secure, cost-effective, and modern IT workplace with the user in focus. The unit consists of 11 employees who, through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and engagement, contribute to strengthening the municipality's operations.
As a Support Technician, you will become part of our Servicedesk team. Here we work closely together and in close dialogue with the municipality's various operations, where we support users in their daily lives and contribute to making their work easier and more efficient.
Servicedesk is responsible for both first- and second-line support within a broad area. This means that together we handle everything from password issues and hardware and software support to client and application support, as well as collaboration with external suppliers. Support is primarily provided on-site at our premises in Sandbacka Park.
The role includes:
- Providing user support via phone, email, remote control, and on-site in operations.
- Troubleshooting, prioritizing, and resolving incoming cases related to clients, networks, and applications.
- Working with account and permission administration, software installation, and handling communication-related problems.
- Ensuring that cases are documented correctly and in a structured manner.
- Following and contributing to the development of routines within case and incident management.
- Managing the lifecycle of IT equipment from a sustainable and efficient perspective.
- Participating in projects and development initiatives within the IT area.
- Contributing to continuous improvements by identifying and implementing development opportunities in the work.
Qualifications and Merits
Qualifications
You have at least 3 years of experience working in Servicedesk/first- and second-line support or equivalent IT tasks.
- Good knowledge of the Windows platform and M365
- Good troubleshooting skills in Windows environments and on PCs with peripheral equipment and printers
- Experience with support for mobile devices
- Experience with account management and permission administration
- Basic knowledge of networking and hardware
- Good documentation skills
- Good language skills in Swedish
In the role, you work both independently and in a team, which requires good collaboration and communication skills. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to continuous knowledge transfer and experience sharing through dialogue, collaboration, and documentation. You are a proactive problem solver who organizes and plans your work effectively and follows existing instructions and routines. You are responsible and are attracted to working in a service profession that requires flexibility, a service mindset, and a user focus.
You are an experienced and engaged employee who puts the user first and is passionate about solving users' IT problems. You need to be an unpretentious and outgoing person who is good at listening, communicating, investigating, and documenting solutions. You are solution-oriented and also have the will and ability to help others.
As a person, you are calm, confident, meticulous, accommodating, and receptive with self-awareness.
We will place great emphasis on your personal suitability.
You must have a B driver's license.
It is meritorious if you have experience of operational work in a larger IT organization, and also meritorious if you have previously worked within municipal operations.
