Description
Would you like to join us in creating a place for community, learning, and personal development? Then you might be the missing piece we need to build upon the newly established Lundby School. We are currently looking for you, a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Home and Consumer Studies, Swedish, and Swedish as a Second Language in grades 7-9.
We offer you the opportunity to help build upon our newly established school for grades 7-9, offering both regular and adapted basic education, located in central Hisingen. The classrooms are adapted to the characteristics of the subjects, and we have two excellent and well-equipped rooms for Home and Consumer Studies. In the school building, the Sports and Associations Administration has two large sports halls used during school hours, and the Music and Arts School also has its operations here. Next to the school is a renovated 1950s auditorium that enables cultural events and experiences for everyone in the city. Lundby School will be filled up until 2026, when approximately 600 students, including 30 students in adapted basic education, will attend.
Job Responsibilities
You work actively with steering documents and can translate them into learning that is understandable and meaningful for the students. Mentoring is included in the position, as well as collaboration with the student health service when needed. Take the chance to work with skilled colleagues to create the best conditions so that teaching becomes an important part of Lundby School's vision of community, learning, and personal development.
You will be part of one of the school's work teams and will also contribute to developing teaching in the subject team. Together, we strive to create a school day that stimulates students' creativity, curiosity, and self-confidence. All staff at the school work actively to strengthen students' hope for the future and promote good mental health. We strive to give students the insight that they themselves have the power to influence and change, so that they are given the opportunity to live a healthy and meaningful life.
Our development is driven by curiosity. We challenge each other and dare to try new paths to constantly develop and improve our operations. It is together that we establish, follow up, and revise our plans, as it is a shared responsibility to drive school development and move Lundby School forward. Courage, endurance, and innovative thinking characterize our approach.
The best thing about Lundby School is that you are here!
