RESPONSIBILITIES

The mother tongue teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in the subject of mother tongue based on current regulatory documents. The work includes assessing and documenting the individual student's needs, knowledge, and abilities.

The role of study guide in mother tongue involves supporting students in their development and learning in close collaboration with other school staff. The work involves placement at several different schools during a work week and travel between schools within the municipality. The role requires collaboration with principals and staff at the schools. The work also includes collaborating and developing the work together with colleagues in the mother tongue unit.

The teaching group holds pedagogical conferences and study days together. You also have daily contact with school staff. The position requires good language and IT skills and the ability to integrate digital technology into teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who master Dutch and Swedish in various school subjects and teaching situations. You structure and organize the work based on regulatory documents and analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge.

It is highly meritorious if the applicant is qualified to teach mother tongue through a Swedish teacher education program or a validated teacher education program.

In the event of employment, a language test may be required to assess your knowledge of the Swedish language. Experience working with digital learning tools is necessary to succeed in the role.

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.

To begin working in preschool, school, after-school centers, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to show an extract from the criminal record register. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the National Police Board at www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se).

Anyone who has not shown an extract from the criminal record register cannot be employed, engaged, or admitted to the activity according to current legal requirements.
