Licensed Primary School Teacher at IES Borås – Autumn 2026

IES Borås is a school for grades 4–9. We are a bilingual school following the Swedish national curriculum.

We are currently seeking a licensed primary school teacher with qualifications in History, Religious Education, Social Studies, and/or English for grades 4–6 or 7–9, starting in the autumn of 2026. The position includes shared mentorship duties. Qualifications in other subjects are considered an asset. You have a positive view of people and the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. As a teacher with us, you find it fun, stimulating, and rewarding to teach students from various countries, giving each student the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites and abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct lessons
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain thorough documentation
• Mentorship for students in one of the classes you teach
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the school community

Qualifications:

• Teaching license (legitimation)
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English
• Positive attitude and team player
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet students' diverse needs
• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
