Teacher for Vehicle and Transport Program - Transport Focus (50% with possibility of 100%)

Your Role

Alingsås Vocational High School is now seeking an engaged and certified teacher for the Vehicle and Transport Program - Transport Focus.

Together with other teachers, you are responsible for the students' driver training in accordance with current regulations. You will teach students in transport subjects at the upper secondary level and be responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching in accordance with current guidelines. The role also includes assessment, grading, and mentoring.

The teaching combines theory and practical work. You are responsible for creating a safe, structured, and profession-oriented learning environment where safety, quality, and industry requirements are a natural part of the teaching.

You collaborate closely with colleagues in both vocational subjects and general upper secondary subjects. Mentoring and other shared tasks may be included in the position, similar to other teachers at the school.

About the School

Alingsås Vocational High School is a growing school with approximately 100 students in the Hairdressing and Vehicle and Transport programs. We offer vocational education where theory and practice are combined – both at the school and at workplaces (APL).

Our teaching is characterized by closeness, flexibility, and practical learning. Collegial collaboration is strong, and we work closely together across vocational and general subjects. Here, you will meet students with a professional focus, drive, and varied educational backgrounds.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a certified vocational teacher in vehicles and transport (or are currently undergoing vocational teacher education)
• hold a valid CE driver's license
• have relevant professional experience in the transport industry
• have good knowledge of the industry's requirements and development
• are confident, clear, and relationship-building in your leadership
• have the ability to combine structure with flexibility in teaching
• share the school's values and wish to work closely with students
• have worked in the transport industry for at least 3 years

Meritorious:

• experience of teaching at the upper secondary level
• qualifications in several areas of transport subjects
• experience of working with APL (Adapted Practical Learning) and industry collaboration
