Sommarhemsskolan is a newly built school centrally located, serving grades F-6 with bright and spacious facilities. Our schoolyard invites various activities. The central location means we are close to various indoor and outdoor activities in sports, culture, and nature.
Approximately 340 students attend Sommarhemsskolan, and the after-school center has about 200 children, along with approximately 50 staff members. Our motto is "The team before the individual," where we strive to do our best so that everyone can learn as much as possible.
Students work with peer assessment and partner learning, collaborating in learning situations. Knowledge is developed through interaction with others. For pedagogical staff, this means "we make each other better."
Responsibilities
You will work as a teacher instructing students in grade F. You will be part of a work team with teaching assistants and other teachers and after-school educators. You will also participate in the work team's and the school's development work. Other typical teacher duties are included, such as institutional care, development conversations, recess supervision, documentation, etc.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- Teacher certification for grades F-3
- Qualification in Math and Swedish
- Good familiarity with the curriculum documents for compulsory school, and work with language and knowledge-developing approaches as a natural part of your teaching
- Good computer skills
We also place great emphasis on personal qualities and skills. You should be service-oriented with a focus on collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are a good leader in the classroom with clarity in communication, goals, and results. You possess qualities that include both structure and creativity, as well as a positive attitude and a sense of humor. You are interested in developing the school into a positive place for everyone.
