About the Workplace

Lapplands Gymnasium is located in central Gällivare, in the newly built House of Knowledge. Here you will meet a welcoming and competent staff group where various professions collaborate to create the best possible education for our more than 550 students. We offer several vocational programs as well as university-preparatory programs, including NIU/RIG.

About the Position

We are now looking for a teacher in social science subjects for the academic year 2026/2027. Certification is naturally desirable, but we also welcome other applicants with the right competence. Previous experience teaching according to Gy-11 and Gy-25 is an advantage. You are welcome to have changed subjects in your teaching certification, e.g., Spanish, psychology, history, or natural science. Other subject combinations are also considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Teaching in social science subjects and possibly other subjects, depending on your competence, for both vocational students and students in university-preparatory programs.
• Mentorship may be included in the position.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for certified teachers in social science subjects at the upper secondary level. You are a team player with a clear student focus, where teaching is adapted to individual needs within the student group. You should be comfortable with digital tools such as O365, OneNote, Exam.net, Kunskapsmatrisen, etc. We place great importance on personal suitability.
