About the role

At Perido, we are looking for a Financial Officer for our client, an educational institution focused on engineering science, architecture, technology, and natural sciences. The organization is characterized by close collaboration with business and society, with a strong emphasis on innovation, research, and sustainable development. You will be based at the office in Gothenburg.

Main responsibilities:

• Advisor on economic matters to managers and project leaders
• Ensure sound accounting in accordance with internal and external regulations
• Budgeting, follow-up, forecasting, and analysis of projects and operations
• Economic project reporting to funders
• Participate in the department's budget and annual reporting work
• Interpret conditions from funders and other contracting parties

Your qualities

To succeed in this role, you are an analytical and structured person who enjoys working both independently and in close collaboration with others. You have high integrity in your professional role and the ability to prioritize and create order even when workloads vary. Since the role involves many contact surfaces, you are communicative and pedagogical, and you have an easy way of explaining economic contexts clearly and trustworthily. You also have a good ability to build relationships and contribute to a positive collaborative climate.

Qualifications (requirements below must be met and clearly shown in CV):

• Academic degree in economics, Vocational Higher Education (YH), or equivalent
• Experience in qualified economic work
• Experience in accounting, budgeting, and annual reporting
• Experience working with economic and administrative support systems
• Integrity in professional role, good analytical skills, and teamwork ability
• Good structure and prioritization skills
• Good pedagogical and communication skills
• Good proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English

Merits:

• Previously documented experience in responsibility for entire economic processes

Scope and start date

Full-time, consultancy assignment until 2027-07-02. Thereafter, the assignment can be extended one or more times, for a maximum of an additional 12 months. Start date: 2026-08-17.
