Description

Nygårdsskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with approximately 600 students, part of Area 8 Southwest within the Gothenburg Primary School Administration. We have a wonderful school with fresh facilities, lovely schoolyards, and colleagues who are passionate about their students and teaching. Our students are fantastic, interested, and motivated to study, and they receive good support in their studies from engaged guardians. The school is beautifully located in Billdal near the sea and has its own kitchen that prepares fantastic food. The sea, the ice rink, and Billdal Park are just nearby, and it is easy to get here from central Gothenburg by bike, bus, and car.

Job Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher at Nygårdsskolan, you will work as part of our student health team, responsible for students in grades 6-9. You will also work to some extent together with teachers in the school's Flex Group, which targets students in grades 6-9. The special needs teachers at the school have close cooperation, which provides good conditions for student health work at the school.

As a special needs teacher with us, you work at the organizational, group, and individual levels to create and develop learning environments that support all students' development towards the school's knowledge goals. At all levels, you work with both promoting, preventive, and remedial measures. To thrive with us, you need to have a great commitment to teaching development and be a good supervisor.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with further education as a special needs teacher. Experience of working as a special needs teacher is meritorious. Experience with the digital systems PMO and Vklass is also meritorious.

You have an easy time collaborating with and supervising teachers to create conditions for every student to develop. Encouraging co-determination, openness, and tolerance we see as a matter of course. It is important that you can work independently within guidelines and practice and that you can recommend measures, document, and participate in decisions. The work requires a flexible approach, initiative, good cooperation skills, IT proficiency, and a positive view of students.

You are open-minded and innovative, and you work based on research and proven experience to challenge yourself and others in the work.

We also see that you work for a respectful working climate and create good relationships with both colleagues and students and guardians. You do this by being open and accommodating and by listening to your surroundings to understand their needs.

Furthermore, you have the ability to remain stable under pressurized situations, where you can balance different demands and maintain a positive attitude. At our school, there is continuous development of the operations, so we would like you to contribute new ideas and perspectives in work-related issues and challenge methods, ways of working, and mindsets.

Welcome with your application!

The position will be filled subject to the condition that it is not claimed for internal reasons.
