About the Workplace

Lapplands Gymnasium is located in central Gällivare, in the newly built "Kunskapshuset" (Knowledge House). Here, you will meet a welcoming and competent staff group where various professions work together to create the best possible education for our more than 550 students. We offer several vocational programs as well as university-preparatory programs, including NIU/RIG.

About the Position

We are now looking for a Swedish Teacher for the academic year 2026/2027. Certification is obviously desirable, but we also welcome other applicants with the right competence. It is an advantage if you have previous experience teaching according to Gy-11 and Gy-25 curricula. You are welcome to have other subjects in your teaching certification, e.g., Spanish, Social Studies, History, or Natural Science. Other subject combinations are also considered.

As a Swedish teacher with us, you are part of an engaged subject group that collaborates on subject-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in Swedish and potentially other subjects, depending on your competence, for both vocational students and students in university-preparatory programs.
• Mentorship may be included in the position.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for certified Swedish teachers for the upper secondary level. You are a team player with a clear student focus, where teaching is adapted to individual needs within the student group. You should be comfortable with digital tools such as O365, OneNote, Exam.net, Kunskapsmatrisen, etc. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
