Borgmästarskolan is a two-parallel F-3 school with two after-school care departments. The school is located approximately 6 km outside the center next to the Lule River, which offers the school rich and varied nature.

Borgmästarskolan's prioritized areas are pedagogical support structures, compensatory working methods, and participation. Educators and students work together to find ways for every child to succeed in school and after-school care. Here, you will find engaged educators who work to create quality teaching and security for our students. We place great emphasis on good working peace, clear structures, and a common approach towards our students. All teachers at the school are trained PAX teachers. The values work at the school is integrated into all subjects and developed in collaboration with the students. We work to create good relationships with participating students. Activities with music, movement, and creativity are appreciated by both children and adults at the school. We also work on developing ICT in teaching.

DUTIES

The position of after-school assistant involves working with a student who needs extra support both individually and in a student group. As an after-school assistant, you have a close relationship with all students at the school and you work to create an environment that promotes security, social awareness, learning, and independence. You will work together with both the staff at the after-school care and in the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a high school diploma and we see it as desirable that you also have some education directed towards school and/or children and young people. Experience/education in working with children with special needs is also advantageous.

To succeed in the role, it is required that you have the ability to find adaptations and support that help the student reach the goals, as well as to create good relationships with colleagues, guardians, and students. You have good cooperation skills, a positive will, and see opportunities. You are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks and place great emphasis on quality. Providing good service is something that feels natural to you and is always something you strive for. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
