Do you want to contribute to developing Sweden's best waste management service?
In 2026, we were named the best waste management service by Avfall Sverige, an award we are incredibly proud of – and we certainly want to stay at the top! As our colleague goes on study leave, we are now looking for you who are curious, proactive, and enjoy driving development forward in the role of Waste Developer.
Here, you will have the opportunity to make a difference by developing and improving the handling of waste fractions, as well as working towards increased reuse and recycling. Your focus areas will be reducing food and residual waste, improving sorting, and creating behavioral changes together with our customers.
About the role
As a Waste Developer, you are responsible for driving projects and activities related to our resource optimization plan, business strategy, and other operational plans to ensure we meet our environmental and sustainability goals. Your main tasks include:
- Development and optimization of waste fractions.
- Work to increase reuse, recycling, and reduce residual waste.
- Participation in developing procedures for recycling centers and waste collection, as well as coordinating updates and developing sorting instructions.
- Dissemination of knowledge and information about waste management internally and externally.
- Creating and participating in collaboration forums to strengthen development within waste management.
- Monitoring the external environment and networking with other market actors to develop our waste collection service.
This is you!
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in sustainability and the circular economy. You have a relevant post-secondary education and/or experience in waste management, environmental science, or similar. We welcome applicants with both junior and senior experience and consider it an advantage if you have experience driving projects and development work. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a B-driver's license and access to a private car.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. To succeed in the role, we see that you are proactive, structured, and relationship-building. You have good communication skills and can convey knowledge to different target groups. You are also accustomed to collaborating with various actors and building networks.
What we offer you:
- A values-driven workplace where forward-thinking, thoughtfulness, and clarity permeate the operations.
- Employee engagement at the center, where everyone contributes to a sense of community, care, respect, and loyalty.
- We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for competence development and influencing the future of waste management.
Terms and application
The position is a fixed-term contract of approximately 18 months, with the possibility of extension.
The position is located at our recycling center in Vankiva, approx. 8 km outside Hässleholm. There is no public transport there, so you need access to a private car.
Do you think you are our next colleague and want to make a difference? Apply now! We conduct continuous selection in this recruitment process, so do not wait with your application.
