The Sustainability Department leads, develops, and coordinates a systematic and strategic corporate-wide implementation of VGR's sustainability goals. The Sustainability Department is part of the Corporate Staff Regional Development and is located at the Corporate Office.

We are now looking for a Regional Developer in Social Sustainability and Human Rights who wants to drive societal development with a focus on implementing sustainability goals. The work is carried out in broad collaboration with VGR's administrations and companies, as well as with relevant actors in other regions, academia, business, and civil society.

Your Assignment

You will work at the Sustainability Department and, together with colleagues, create the conditions for VGR's implementation of sustainability goals with a focus on social sustainability goals. You do this by coordinating, supporting, and developing the work together with the region's administrations and companies.

You will:

• conduct strategic development work within social sustainability and human rights
• together with administrations and companies, take the initiative to implement measures required to achieve goals within social sustainability
• carry out work within human rights and the various discrimination areas with a focus on children's rights according to VGR's children's rights model
• conduct analytical work, for example by assisting in development work that highlights unjustified differences
• prepare matters for politics as the Sustainability Department supports, among other things, the Regional Executive Board's committee for human rights and the sustainability committee.

To succeed in the role, you need:

To succeed and thrive in the role, you have extensive knowledge of social sustainability and human rights from a broad perspective, commitment, and the ability to lead and drive processes at a strategic level within the area. You are a person who enjoys the interplay of working both collaboratively and independently. You have good cooperation skills and are receptive, as the work involves contact with many different actors, but you can also "put your foot down" when necessary to move the work forward. The work also requires that you take initiative, have analytical skills, and structure in keeping activities and contacts together. You enjoy leading meetings and presentations and have good communication skills both written and verbal.

You have:

• A university degree in a field relevant to the position, such as human rights and public administration
• Several years of professional experience in strategic work with human rights and discrimination issues
• Experience in leading and coordinating processes within social sustainability
• Experience in responding to inquiries and statements (remisser)
• Experience in working with children's human rights

The following is meritorious:
