About the assignment

We are looking for an economist for our client in central Gothenburg for a consultancy assignment starting 2026-08-17 and running until 2027-07-02, with the possibility of extension for an additional 6+6 months. The position is full-time, and you will work at the client's office.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will act as a financial advisor to managers and project leaders. Your tasks will include, among others:

• Ensuring sound accounting in accordance with internal and external regulations.
• Budgeting, follow-up, forecasting, and analysis of projects and operations.
• Economic project reporting to funders.
• Participating in the department's budgeting and closing processes.
• Interpreting terms and conditions from funders and other contracting parties.

Your qualifications

• An academic degree in economics, a University College degree (YH), or equivalent.
• Experience in qualified economic work, reporting, budgeting, and closing processes.
• Experience working with economic and administrative support systems.
• Professional integrity.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and experience collaborating with others. You must be pedagogical and possess strong communication skills. Furthermore, you should have excellent spoken and written proficiency in both Swedish and English, as well as the ability to structure and prioritize tasks.
