NBI/Handelsakademin is an established University College of Vocational Education (YH) with operations in Malmö, Gothenburg, Halmstad, Växjö, Luleå, Umeå, and Skövde, as well as distance learning programs for working professionals. For 30 years, we have provided vocational training and educated thousands of individuals in Purchasing, Logistics, IT/Tech, Finance, Sales, Construction, and Retail, among other fields.

We are now looking for a driven Education Manager with a passion for competence development to join our operations in Gothenburg. Our Education Managers play a key role in the organization, responsible for driving, coordinating, and quality-assuring our courses, as well as building networks and long-term relationships with the working world.

Job Description

As an Education Manager, you are responsible for one or more courses/classes. You are the contact person for students, the employer for instructors, and an executor in the course's management group. Your tasks will primarily include:

  • Planning and administration of the course.
  • Recruitment of and collaboration with instructors.
  • Advising and admitting students.
  • Student support.
  • Collaboration with companies for LIA (Work Integrated Learning), management groups, and letters of intent.
  • Further development of course curricula together with the management group.
  • Systematic quality work together with other Education Managers.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with experience in and who thrives in the role of a project manager. We consider it highly meritorious if you have previously worked as an Education Manager with experience in YH education or other forms of competence development.

It is a big plus if you have a regional network within the working world. We would like you to enjoy creating contacts and feel comfortable interacting with representatives of the working world and collaborating with authorities. You are interested in developments within the working world and the education sector.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish (both spoken and written), English, and Excel, as well as being a good administrator. You are responsible and plan your work efficiently so that you meet deadlines, focus on results, and strive to meet set quality goals.

As a person, you are outgoing, flexible, and stable. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and focus on the right things. To thrive in this role, it is important to be able to collaborate in a team, enjoy maintaining and creating new contacts, and be interested in supporting our students. You are service-oriented, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions.
