Job Responsibilities

Our preschool is an inspiring place where the Reggio Emilia pedagogy is central. With a central piazza as the heart of the operations, we create an environment that stimulates children's curiosity and creativity. We have four departments and work in large, engaged work teams that promote cooperation and community. Here you will have the opportunity to develop together with two experienced preschool teachers and two childcare assistants in your work team. We value creativity and beautiful environments, and nature is an important part of our pedagogy.

You lead the pedagogical work together with colleagues in an engaged work team. Together you plan, implement, document, and follow up on the education based on the preschool curriculum. We believe in a way of working where cooperation, responsibility, and clear communication are a natural part of everyday life.

We value good relationships, both with children, guardians, and colleagues, and see you as an important role model in the children's lives. Together we build community for both big and small!

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a licensed preschool teacher
• have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• have good knowledge of using digital tools in work

You take responsibility for both your own and the work team's tasks and contribute to good cooperation.

You build trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You are also responsive in your interaction and show respect and care for others.

You understand that children have different prerequisites and absorb knowledge in different ways. Based on this, you create a safe and developmental environment where every child gets the opportunity to develop at their own pace.

It is meritorious if you have experience of Reggio Emilia pedagogy. However, the most important thing is that you are creative and have a desire and interest in helping to create beautiful environments that contribute to the pedagogical philosophy. Therefore, we also welcome recent graduates to apply.

At the Preschool Administration, you give children opportunities for a good future. Every day!

We are responsible for education and care for approximately 25,000 children in nearly 350 municipal preschools. The administration has around 7,000 employees distributed across approximately 75 professions. Together we work towards the same goal – to develop a fun, safe, and educational preschool for all children in Gothenburg.
